Retiring from UBC
If you wish to retire or resign, you must give written notice to your Head of Academic Unit well in advance of your intended retirement date.
Notice period and effective dates are as follows:
Resignation – June 30th following notice date, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Retirement – Normally June 30th or December 31st following notice date, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Retirement option – 12 to 18 months notice, unless otherwise agreed upon.
